Annual Institute Series, Ontario Bar Association
From estate planning to family-owned businesses to marriage and separation, there are a myriad of legal issues impacting families across a diverse range of practice areas.
Susannah Roth will be speaking at “SERVING THE FAMILY: Critical Insights on the Issues Impacting Families in Corporate, Estates and Family Law,” part of the Annual Institute Series, now it its 46thyear, organized by the Ontario Bar Association (OBA).
Susannah Roth will be speaking on the topic of “Family Law Year in Review: Critical Decisions from the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.”
This program will take place on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 (9:00 am to 4:00 pm) and Thursday, February 4, 2021 (9:00 am to 12:00 pm).
Costs: $595 for OBA members. $895 for non-OBA members.
Toronto estate lawyer Margaret O’Sullivan will be speaking at the Global Elite panel, on February 10th, from 2:00 – 2:30pm GMT.
The panel will look at the pandemic’s impact on the perception of wealth, and will shine a spotlight on wealth tax (or its lack thereof) across several jurisdictions.
Margaret is representing Canada; other panelists will be from UK, Italy, Spain, and Switzerland.

STEP Canada 2020 Speaker Series
“Incapacity at Home and Abroad: Jurisdictional Challenges”
Margaret O’Sullivan will be one of three panelists who will explore the challenges that can arise from the perspective of both civil-law jurisdictions, such as France, Portugal, and Mexico, and common-law jurisdictions, such as Florida, California, and Arizona.
